Our Vacation

If you received our update, these photos will be self explainatory. We went on holiday to Shipshwana (about 2 hour drive from our place), set up our tent and just had a relaxing time for a couple of days.
Here Erik hard at work trying to get a tent set up. Please note the supervisor in the background.
Some keen assistants.
Our campsite.
Shipshwana has a thriving Amish community, also noted in the update. Here a horse and buggy heading down the road.
A team of horses baling hay.
Horse and buggy just outside a carpark.
Our bargin hunting.
The last night we got rained out so we had to pack the tent in the rain. Today was the first day of sun so we had to get it all out and try and dry it as well as clean off all the mud.

That is it for another update for our blog. We continue to thank you for your prayers and covet your prayers as we go into next week. Next week Erik starts seminary and the children continue their schooling with Gina teaching them. We'll be back into the routine of daily life.

great to see your holiday photos. Boy it sure brought back memories of some of the Baird camping holidays in the rain especially in Franz Josef when we were the only family left camping in our tent. We were dry and it would have been a real mission packing up 6 small children in the middle of the night!

Good on you for tenting, we've never attempted that with our family! I'm sure it would have been fascinating visiting Amish country.
